What to say? Mid-term training was awesome!
We were in Riterio Krantas (“knight coast”) entertainment complex. When I at firs checked this link I was surprised but I didn’t believe that we will get so luxurious thing. But it was true! It’s like 4* hotel with everything you wish – sauna, swimming pool, bowling, restaurant, big yard for sport activities and so on.
With some we’ve met on on-arrival, with some – on “Strength in Diversity”, but the main lot I’ve met only there and it was great to get to know them.
Yeah, we had a lot of fun together! Btw, I did learn Llama Song which just blew my mind!
It was really fun to participate in multicultural meet-up together with EVS volunteers from all over Lithuania to celebrate European Action Week Against Racism. We had opportunity to taste dishes from various countries, learn interesting facts about these countries and cultures, participate in quizzes and present our own national features. I’m glad I was part of it, it was amazing!
Kaziuko mugė or Saint Casimir’s Fair – is a large folk arts and crafts fair in Vilnius, dating to the beginning of the 17th century. The fair is traditionally held in city’s markets and streets on the Sunday nearest to March 4 (Feast of St. Casimir), the anniversary of Saint Casimir’s death. In Lithuanian, Kaziukas is a diminutive of Casimir.
I knew about this fair before and I was sure I’ll go to Vilnius these days. Also I knew that fair is quite big, but I didn’t expect that it will be HUUUUGE.
Whole city was full of tents and crowd. It looked like all Lithuania and some other countries came to the capital.
